Stuck Between Stations

"[CRITICS' PICK!] Mr. Rosen has an appealingly self-effacing naturalism, earthy and unglamorous. Ms. Lister-Jones, of the sitcom "Whitney," has an almost off-putting assurance. But Mr. Kiernan employs her well, using sharp dialogue (partly by Mr. Rosen) and Bo Hakala's glowing cinematography. There are no easy payoffs in STUCK BETWEEN STATIONS, but the chemistry of its stars is reward enough."
- Andy Webster, THE NEW YORK TIMES (Nov. 3, 2011)

"A gutsy break from the usual indie-romance's first-world problems... Lister Jones and Rosen do an appealing back-and-forth with lively dialogue."
- Nick Pinkerton, THE VILLAGE VOICE (Nov. 2, 2011)

Stuck Between Stations

"Easy to fall in love with! STUCK BETWEEN STATIONS has very likable leads, adorable moments, heavy and deep exchanges and satisfying turns."
- Christopher Campbell, SPOUT

"The interplay between Becky and Casper is cautiously playful, funny and informed: They know enough about each other not to have to struggle for conversation. They're different enough to make it textured, wary enough to make it complicated. Real people may not be this glib and witty, but Rosen and Lister-Jones sell us on Casper and Becky nonetheless."
- John Anderson, VARIETY

STUCK BETWEEN STATIONS is a witty romantic drama starring rising talents Zoe Lister-Jones (BREAKING UPWARDS) and co-writer Sam Rosen (FOUR BOXES), plus Michael Imperioli (HBO's THE SOPRANOS) and Josh Hartnett (THE BLACK DAHLIA). Acclaimed at the 2011 Tribeca Film Festival, Brady Kiernan's directorial debut makes its New York theatrical premiere with a week-long run, November 4 - 10.

Casper (Rosen) is a young soldier home from Afghanistan on bereavement leave after the death of his father. On his last night in town, a near-miss bar fight in the old neighborhood leads to a chance run-in with his childhood crush Rebecca (Lister-Jones), now a grad student coping with a foundering academic career and a fraught relationship with her married academic advisor (Imperioli). Over the course of a single night, the two traverse a striking Minneapolis cityscape, growing closer but knowing they will inevitably have to part ways at dawn. As the pair muse on the nature of life, fear, youth, and disappointment, at turns falling in love and falling apart, their journey mirrors that of a restless generation torn between promise and malaise.

85 minutes. In English. Presented in Blu-ray. Unrated. A Wrekin Hill Entertainment release.

(March 2011) ENTERTAINMENT WEEKLY called reRun one of 8 nationwide theaters "redefining the moviegoing experience."

(April 2011) EVERY DAY WITH RACHAEL RAY praised reRun's gourmet popcorn as one of 4 nationwide theaters "giving their classic snack an upgrade."

(October 2011) TIME OUT NEW YORK singled out reRun as a "DIY trailblazer," saying they "love reRun's laid-back vibe" and "friendly staff."

(December 2011) TRAVEL AND LEISURE hailed reRun, among 9 others, as one of "The World's Coolest Movie Theaters."

(February 2012) VARIETY says reRun "raises bar for indies" and is "among the only theaters in the U.S. that provides newfound theatrical and ancillary opportunities to films without a [distributor]."

reRun is reBar's independent cinema, located just down the hall from the restaurant. Featuring 48 reclaimed car seats, full bar, gourmet snack counter, and a 12-foot screen, reRun offers just the kind of intimate art-house theater experience you'd expect from the creators of the funky gastropub reBar.

reRun provides a large theater AV experience. An all-digital 1080p HD projector, coupled with a monstrous JBL 7.1 surround pro-audio sound system make the movies projected on the twelve foot screen come alive in a sparkling show. The bar features two rotating draft taps, a broad selection of bottled craft beers, a selection of sustainable, organic, and biodynamically farmed wines, a full liquor cabinet for your imbibing pleasure, and traditional and creative snacks created by reBar's Executive Chef Jeremy Leech.

During off-hours reRun is available for private rental. Children's birthdays, corporate off-site meetings, and private get-togethers are all possible in the theater. Call Veronica at (917) 583-9343 for private bookings. Catering available for your parties through reBar.
